Crime Watch

The following are some of the recent calls from the Glen Ellen and Kenwood area to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Sonoma Valley Substation.

Sept. 23

Deputies talked to a woman on Laurel Ave. who felt she was being taken advantage of by a woman who talked her into keeping 15 puppies until they could be sold.

At 8:02 p.m. deputies investigated an ongoing issue of neighbors playing loud music in the 900 block of Madrone Rd. The music was turned down when deputies arrived.

Sept. 25

A resident of Cypress Ave. in Kenwood felt she was being followed and found BBs in her hot tub. The same woman reported on Sept. 18 that she felt someone was watching her at night and heard footsteps outside of her house.

Loud music coming from a business in the 15000 block of Highway 12 at 8 in the evening was from a wedding scheduled to end at 10 p.m.

A reporting party was not willing to make a citizen’s arrest for loud music in the 600 block of Lawndale Rd. at 9:57 p.m. The music was turned off.

Deputies found no gun or shooters after looking into a report of promiscuous shooting at 11:54 p.m. in the 13300 block of Arnold Dr.

Sept. 26

Music in the 900 block of Madrone Rd. at 12:44 a.m. was turned off after deputies arrived.

A woman on Cypress Ave. heard noises at the side of her house and somebody walking around. Deputies found no one when they arrived.

Sept. 27

At 4:30 p.m. a resident of the 3500 block of Arnold Dr. reported sending two money orders for $6,000 to an address in Costa Rica after a caller said he won $350,000 but needed to pay a California gaming tax stamp to win a lottery.

Sept. 28

A woman camping in a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Griswold Ave. at 12:25 p.m. was gone when deputies arrived.

Sept. 29

After a resident of the 1100 block of Lawndale Rd. returned from a short trip to the Post Office to mail a letter, she found that a $10 gold piece on a chain and diamond earrings worth $100 were missing.

Deputies were unable to locate anything when checking on a promiscuous shooting report in the 4300 block of Wake Robin.

Oct. 2

Two juveniles with rifles who were seen walking into Sonoma Creek at Warm Springs and Lawndale roads were gone by the time deputies arrived.

Deputies were unable to locate loud music reported by an anonymous caller at 9:34 p.m. at Bristol and Lawndale roads.

Oct. 3

Deputies were dispatched to Henno and Warm Springs Rd. at 3:03 a.m. to check on a very loud party, but were unable to locate it.

Deputies investigated an 11:22 p.m. report of activity and lights at a house in 14300 block of Arnold Dr. where the residents were out of town. The house was dark and secure when the deputies arrived.

Oct. 4

Deputies were dispatched to check on damage to a PG&E gas line in the 9000 block of Sonoma Hwy. No criminal violation was found.

Deputies conducted a follow up investigation in the 3000 block of Warm Springs Road.

Oct. 5

Deputies resolved an issue with a group of males in the 13600 block of Arnold Dr.

Deputies conducted a follow up investigation in the 9200 block of Bennett Valley Rd.
