Dunbar events: Harvest Fair, Moondance
There’s a lot going on at Dunbar School this fall. Saturday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be Dunbar School’s first Annual Harvest Fair. There will be arts and crafts, pumpkin decorating, and a costume rummage sale. Start off the weekend with neighbors, and check out Dunbar’s plentiful garden. This is sure to be fun for the whole family. Profits go toward Dunbar’s Garden and Art programs. Dunbar is located at 11700 Dunbar Rd. in Glen Ellen.
Then put on your dancing shoes for the annual Dunbar fundraiser, Moondance – Baile de la Luna, on Saturday, Nov. 6, 5:30-11 p.m. at the beautiful Atwood Ranch in Glen Ellen. There will be a silent auction, and a live auction emceed by Squire Fridell. Enjoy dinner, wine, beer, hors d’oeuvres, cash raffle, dancing, and more.
Tickets are $45 per person. For more information, call 343-1422. You can also order tickets by going to www.dunbarschool.org, or Brownpapertickets.
Proceeds from this event support the ongoing work of the Friends of Dunbar School Parent Teacher Organization, and in the past have funded field trips, hands on science education, garden, theater arts, hands on art, and more. In times of budget cuts to education, these “extra” funds become a necessity.
Come have a beautiful evening and support a fantastic group of kids and a great school.
