Leadership training on Sonoma Mountain
Challenge Sonoma Adventure Ropes Course (CSARC) is gearing up for its annual spring ropes course leadership training program, March 14 through 17, at the ropes course located on Sonoma Mountain above the Sonoma Developmental Center in Eldridge. This is a unique training opportunity both to enhance your own outdoor and leadership skills and also to give back through voluntary community service to a wide variety of groups. The goal of the program is to teach the skills necessary to lead and facilitate an effective and successful ropes course adventure. Expect an exhilarating and fun obstacle course experience.
This year’s training will take place on Thursday, March 14 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and continue from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday, March 15 through 17. Successfully trained leaders are required to volunteer a minimum of seven days during CSARC’s season of operation which runs each year from April through November.
Established in 1984, CSARC is a nonprofit group of dedicated community volunteers serving Sonoma Valley school children and youth-at-risk.
Tuition for the training is $100. For more information or to enroll, contact Diana Rhoten at 484-7759 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
