Pancake breakfast for Motherís Day





Gather up your family, friends and neighbors, and start this Motherís Day off right! The Glen Ellen Village Fair, in conjunction with the Glen Ellen Fire Fightersí Association and the Glen Ellen Fire Association Auxiliary, invite you to attend a Motherís Day Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, May 12, at the Glen Ellen Fire Department, 13445 Arnold Drive.

The menu features hot-off-the-griddle pancakes, sausage, bacon, fresh strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, orange juice and coffee. In addition, the Auxiliary will be whipping up Fruit Smoothies, Mimosas and Fizzes for $4.

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for kids four to 17, and free for ages three and under. The first 500 families to arrive will receive a free medical magnet which assists fire fighters/first responders with critical information that could be the life-saving difference in an emergency.

Fire safety information will also be available and there will be various souvenirs for sale, the proceeds of which will benefit the Glen Ellen Fire Fightersí Association.

The Glen Ellen Village Fairís gorgeous hand-stitched quilt will also be on display. The quilt was created over the past year and will be raffled off at the Glen Ellen Village Fair on Oct. 13 (winner need not be present). The quilt is comprised of 16 individual squares depicting the theme ďFood for Thought.Ē Tickets can be purchased at the pancake breakfast for $2 apiece, three for $5, seven for $10, or 15 tickets for $20. Proceeds of the raffle benefit the Glen Ellen and Mayacamas fire departments, Dunbar School, and other local charities.
