Plowing Play Day at Jack London Park
The free, family-friendly 30th Annual Plowing Day at Jack London State Park features historical demonstrations of early 20th century farming practices, including plowing with draft horses, harnessing, blacksmithing, sheep shearing, horse-drawn wagon rides and medieval horseback skill at arms.
On May 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., see mules, Clydesdale’s, Percheron, Shire and Belgian draft horses and bring a picnic or purchase food and drinks from vendors at the park. Plowing Play Day is sponsored by the North Coast Draft Horse and Mule Association. Check online at jacklondonpark.com for more information.
