Kiwanis collecting suitcases for Children’s Home
The Oakmont Kiwanis Club is sponsoring a suitcase drive to benefit the Valley of the Moon Children’s Home.
When the children leave the Children’s Home, the center wants them to be sent home with their personal belongings packed neatly in a suitcase, rather than in a paper bag, or sack of some sort.
Unfortunately, they are always in need of additional suitcases, and there always seems to be a shortage. We all have old suitcases of various shapes and sizes gathering dust in our closets, garages, or attics that are no longer needed, but you don’t know what to do with them. Here is the solution: donate them to the Children’s Home and put them to good use.
It’s very simple, just gather them and take them to the Kenwood Press office in the Kenwood Village shopping plaza and they will be delivered to the Children’s Home for you. It doesn’t matter if they are small or large, soft-sided or hard.
This is a great way to get rid of some unwanted clutter and help a child in need. For more information call John Rector at 888-3993 or 527-1221, or Jay Cobb at 833-2391.
