Elliot Edgar Blaine, 1924-2013
On April 25 we lost one of the greatest men on earth! Elliot Blaine lived his life to the fullest. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Elliot was an attorney by education, but got into the music business with his brother Jerry right after law school.
His remarkable longevity in the music industry spanned over five decades, starting in the 50s with Jubilee Records, eventually leading him west to California where he started his own record label and distribution company called “The Music People.”
His beloved wife of 60 years, Bernice Blaine, left us in 2009, and anyone that knew Elliot appreciated his unwavering devotion to his family. Elliot is survived by his two loving sons Dennis and his wife Leslie in Stuart, Florida, and Jason and his wife Sandie in Kenwood. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Joshua and his wife Nancy, Tracey and her husband Jon, Monica and Dana, as well as four great grandchildren, Owen, Peyton, Jackson and Madison.
A self-made man, WWII veteran, and a successful entrepreneur, Elliot knew what life was about. He instilled optimism and invaluable life lessons on everyone he touched.
We should all maintain the amazing positive attitude that Elliot demonstrated every moment of his existence.
Elliot was known for greeting his family, friends and strangers with his “HAPPY DAY!!!” genuine wishes. So, this one’s for you Elliot… “HAPPY THURSDAY!!!”
We all love you and will carry you in our hearts forever.
A private service will be held for the family, but donations may be made to the Heart Association by calling 1-800-242-8721, or P.O. Box 844, Santa Rosa, CA 95402.
