Wildflower walk at Jack London Park
This is a dazzling time of year to view wildflowers. On Saturday, May 25, naturalists Deborah Large and John Lynch lead a walk to see Brodiaea, Crimson Columbine, native honeysuckle, several varieties of Clarkia, Ithurielís Spear, Ookow, Yarrow and possibly several native and nonnative orchids, which will be starting to bloom.
The guided walk is from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Meet in the upper parking lot of Jack London State Park (2400 London Ranch Road, Glen Ellen). Bring binoculars, cameras, water and light snack, and wear sturdy shoes.
Admission is $10 per person and can be made online at www.jacklondonpark.com. An additional parking fee is $10 per car and is paid at kiosk upon entering.
