Sonoma County Fair runs through Aug. 11
Dizzying rides, carnival games, horse racing, local art, the Hall of Flowers, food and wine, livestock auctions and a destruction derby…The Sonoma County Fair is bringing it all back to the fairgrounds this year, running now through Aug. 11 (closed on Mondays).
Horse racing runs Wednesday through Sunday. Hat Day at the Races is Aug. 3, featuring wine, hor d’oeuvres and, of course, your fanciest hat. New this year, the fair offers box seat dining trackside for up to four guests. Wednesdays and Thursdays are $50 per table and Fridays and Saturdays are $70 per table of four. Fair Admission is sold separately.
The Hall of Flowers show, “Backyard Blossoms,” runs for the duration of the fair.
This year’s fair offers up Flat Track Motorcycle Racing on Aug. 2, and a Destruction Derby on Aug. 3. Families can also enjoy special attractions like the Extreme AirDogs competitions, butterfly exhibit and hands-on barnyard.
In the Chris Beck Arena, country music heart throb Hunter Hayes will perform on Aug. 6, followed by Florida Georgia Line with Pete Stringfellow on Aug. 7, Bridgit Mendler on Aug. 8, and Intocable with Don Cheto and La Original Banda el Limon on Aug. 9.
All shows require an event ticket in addition to fair admission for those ages 2 and older. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the fairgrounds box office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. or online at sonomacountyfair.com.
