Glen Ellen-Kenwood Rotary – check it out!
In existence for only a short time, the Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood has already made an impact in the community, getting involved in facility improvement projects at Kenwood School and Jack London State Park, volunteering to improve the reading skills of boys and girls at Dunbar School, helping with ticket sales for Broadway Under the Stars, sponsoring the Rotary Interact Club at Maria Carrillo High School, and more.
Glen Ellen-Kenwood Rotary meets every Wednesday, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Grist Mill Restaurant in Jack London Village in Glen Ellen. Guests are always welcome and the first meeting is free. Appetizers are served, there is a cash bar, and there’s always an interesting speaker. For more information visit www.glenellenkenwoodrotary.org.
Upcoming speakers are Laura Zimmerman, executive director of the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation on Aug. 7. On Aug. 14, Colin Close will speak on “Men, Women and Everyone else – Understanding Gender Diversity.”
