Twilight hike, picnic ‘til sundown at Jack London

The public is invited to enjoy a complimentary docent-led hike, followed by live music provided by local band Ten Foot Tone on Thursday, Aug. 22, at Jack London State Park. Hikers are welcome to bring picnics to enjoy under the oaks after the hike.

Hikers should arrive at the upper parking lot at 5:15 p.m. for a prompt 5:30 p.m. departure. This is a moderate hike to the Ancient Redwood and will last one and a half to two hours. Music is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m.

Bring your own picnic, beverages, hiking boots, dancing shoes and $5 parking fee.

The Twilight Picnic Hikes and Music ‘til Sundown are free to the public and sponsored by the Valley of the Moon Natural History Association and Jack London State Park.

Contact Lonnie Greenfield for hiking information 933-8882 or the park at 938-5216, 2400 London Ranch Road in Glen Ellen.
