The following are some of the recent calls from the Glen Ellen and Kenwood area handled by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Sonoma Valley Substation.
A woman called and said she had lost her iPad in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. She wasn’t sure if she had left it in a local business or on top of her car.
A woman called and said she had lost her purse at Benziger Winery. She later called back and said she had found it.
Deputies got a tip that a man with outstanding warrants was at Marshall’s Body Shop in Glen Ellen. Deputies went out and found the 29-year-old man hiding in back of the garage, arrested him, and took him to jail.
Deputies got a call from a San Mateo County man who said his brother had stolen his car and may be on Dawn Hill Road. Deputies went out to Dawn Hill Road, found the car, but did not locate the suspect. The car was towed away.
A Kenwood man was arrested on suspicion of burgling homes in Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park. Jonathan Wilson, 33, was arrested at the county courthouse where he was at a hearing on another matter. Officers from Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa discovered a large amount of jewelry at Wilson’s Dawn Hill Road residence, items linked to previous burglaries.
A resident in the 700 block of Lawndale Road reported finding a bike in front of the house. Deputies went out and soon discovered the bike belonged to a neighbor.
Officers from the sheriff’s narcotics division found a marijuana grow up in the hills south of Kunde Ranch. 5,500 plants were eradicated.
