Supervisor Gorin to host two meetings in Kenwood

Sonoma County First District Supervisor Susan Gorin, will be holding two community meetings in Kenwood on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

First is a “Meet the Merchants” event from 3 to 4 p.m. “Meet the Merchants” is an informal event for Gorin to connect with local merchants and exchange ideas. This is the second of three “Meet the Merchants” events, and is being sponsored in partnership with the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce. William Foss, owner of the Kenwood Restaurant, will host the meeting. The Kenwood Restaurant is located at 9900 Sonoma Hwy.

Later that evening, Gorin will be at the Kenwood Depot for a Town Hall meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Gorin will be there to discuss general concerns for residents in the Kenwood community. Representatives for the County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works, California Highway Patrol, and Regional Parks will be in attendance. The Kenwood Depot is located at 314 Warm Springs Road in Kenwood.

“The community of Kenwood has expressed concern on a number of issues,” said Gorin. “It is my intention to receive input from Kenwood residents, and bring some of our county and regional resources to the community to address areas of concern.”

No doubt topics that will be brought up include possible ways to address speeding on Warm Springs Road, as well as a Farmers Market planned for Plaza Park this summer.

For more information, please contact Supervisor Gorin’s District Director Pat Gilardi at 565-3752, or email pat.gilardi@sonoma.county.org.
