GE-Kenwood Rotary Club meetings move to Kenwood
The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood holds its weekly meeting on Wednesdays, 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Kenwood Restaurant and Bar, 9900 Sonoma Highway.
If you’re unfamiliar with Rotary, stop by and see what this international service organization is all about. Your first meeting is free. Rotary is open to men and women, and is non-religious and non-political. Its motto is “Service Above Self.”
The evening begins with a half hour of social time, followed by the club meeting from 6 to 7 p.m., including a speaker. On Feb. 19, Marc Schwager, board member of the Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, will speak about the center’s programs and its new location now being constructed. The Center is the largest provider of primary medical services to Medi-Cal, low income, and uninsured patients in Sonoma Valley, serving over 7,000 patients a year.
On Feb. 26, the speaker is Sue Jenkins of the Sonoma Humane Society, whose topic is “Fospicing,” a program that combines foster and hospice care for pets.
