Retired judge Mike Hanlon to speak at SIR #92 meeting
The speaker for the March 11 SIR #92 meeting is the Hon. Daniel “Mike” Hanlon, an Oakmont resident, who was known for his ability to settle complex cases involving a wide range of civil litigation issues.
Hanlon is a former presiding justice of the California Court of Appeals, former presiding judge of the San Francisco Superior Court, and has lectured on judicial ethics and acted as an international monitor for the judical examinations at the Europe and Eurasia Program in the Republic of Georgia. He has conducted more than 2,800 settlement conferences and 200 mediations involving all types of litigation. During his career Justice Hanlon received numerous awards including Trial Judge of the Year from the Consumer Attorneys of California, Trial Judge of the Year from the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and Alumnus of the Year from the University of San Francisco. Hanlon’s experience and qualifications come from his distinguished 28-year tenure on the California trial and appellate courts. Since retiring, Hanlon has become very active in the community, serving as a Board Member of the Redwood Empire Food Bank, and currently serving on the Corporate Board of Catholic Charities of Sonoma, Napa, and Lake Counties.
