Kenwood Soccer camps
Kenwood Soccer Club is hosting two camps at Kenwood Elementary School this summer:
Join the Santa Rosa United Arsenal U15 Boys team and their coaching staff for a three-day camp, June 23 to 25, 9 a.m. to noon each day. One hundred percent of the camp fees will help the boys travel to North Carolina this summer to compete for a national championship in the National Premier League Finals. The team is currently ranked fifth in the nation and features two Kenwood Soccer Club products in the starting lineup, Luke Groothoff and Henry O’Donnell. Come out and play with some of the very best youth players in the nation for only $50! For registration details, visit kenwoodsoccer.org.
Later on, Sonoma State will be putting on a Kenwood Soccer Camp for boys and girls ages four to 14, Aug. 4 to 8, at Kenwood School. There will be one coach for every 10 campers, and instructors will teach all of the basic soccer skills in a fun, challenging and age-appropriate method, including exercises, and fun games.
Campers will develop technical skills, learn to read the game and play quicker, develop a love for the game, and learn to train on their own.
Full day camp for kids 8 to 14 is $145 and runs Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday 9 a.m. to noon. A half-day camp for eight- to 14-year-olds costs $95, and lasts from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
For the little boys and girls, ages four to seven, camp costs $95 and goes from 9 a.m. to noon.
