Starlight Dinner & Auction tickets on sale

The Mayacamas Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Starlight Dinner & Auction on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 5 to 11:30 p.m., in a heritage oak grove in Glen Ellen. Buy your tickets now because this event always sells out!

At this year’s auction, there is a special item: Mayacamas’ truck number 3462, a 4-wheel-drive brush truck. It’s a 1991 Ford F350 vehicle with a 150-gallon-per-minute pump and a 500-gallon water tank. The engine is a 7.2 liter Cummings Diesel and the truck has under 20,000 miles on it. The truck is in excellent shape though the torque converter very likely needs replacing. The Fire Department light bars will be removed prior to sale, as they are not legal for civilian trucks. The truck is available for inspection by appointment. Email or call David Cole at 337-6808 for details.

Tickets are $59. Dinner is by Olive & Vine, and local beer and wine will be available for purchase.

To buy tickets go to, or contact Dave Cole at or 337-6808.
