Honoring Oakmont's Veterans

Four of the 27 veterans living at Oakmont Gardens pose at the Wall of Honor, opened on June 28 to honor resident veterans’ service. These WWII survivors are (L. to R.) USN Seaman 1st Class Bob Falkin (88), USAF Sgt. Bryce McFall (91), USAF Lt. Col. Ed Yarberry (93), and USAF Maj. Del Tiedeman (94). The wall has photos of each resident when they were serving, alongside present day portraits. Many of their service stories are kept in a binder for all to read. Photo by Jay Gamel.
