Food and Funds Drive underway

The Redwood Empire Food Bank’s (REFB) Food and Funds Drive runs through Jan. 31, 2015, during which time thousands of Sonoma County businesses and individuals will help end hunger in the community by donating food and funds to the REFB. One in six Sonoma County residents struggles with hunger.

Hunger is year-round for our most vulnerable neighbors, and the food and money collected during the winter season helps to support ending hunger every day of the year.

During the Winter Food and Funds Drive, orange REFB food donation barrels can be found at the following grocery stores: Safeway, Oliver’s Markets, Walgreens, G&G Supermarkets, Whole Foods Markets and the Grocery Outlet in Santa Rosa.

The Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) is the largest hunger-relief organization serving the north coast, from Sonoma County to the Oregon border. Since 1987, the REFB has fed hungry people, currently serving 82,000 children, families and seniors each month in Sonoma County, while striving to end hunger in our community.
