Batter up! Time for baseball sign-ups

Wine Country Youth Baseball (WCYB) is now taking registrations, so if your child wants a fun environment in which to learn America’s pastime, now is the time to sign up.

WCYB has been around for close to two decades, built on the foundation of teaching kids the fundamentals of baseball, the value of skill and sportsmanship, and teamwork.

WCYB is open to boys and girls kindergarten through 6th grade living in Kenwood, Glen Ellen, Sonoma Valley, Rincon Valley and Bennett Valley. Practices and games are held at Kenwood Elementary School.

The deadline for registration is WCYB’s Field Day, which is slated for Feb. 21 starting at 9 a.m.

Registration forms can be picked up at Kenwood School, the Kenwood Fire Department, and the Kenwood Press. You can also have the form emailed to you by contacting wcyb2015@outlook.com.

Volunteers needed

For more information, call 695-2309 or go to www.wcyb2015.com. Volunteers are needed to help in many areas, including coaching, umpiring, and field maintenance. Donations of new and gently used baseball equipment are always welcome.
