CASA fundraiser: “Denim and Diamonds”

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Sonoma County will hold its fundraiser, “Denim and Diamonds,” on Saturday, April 11, 5 to 10 p.m. at the Vintners Inn and John Ash Event Center in Santa Rosa.

CASA volunteers are trained and then appointed by judges to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. When a CASA volunteer is appointed to a child’s case, he or she spends time with the social workers, foster parents, family, and most importantly, the child. The advocate then provides the judge with information that assists in providing a unique and heartfelt understanding of the child’s needs. A CASA volunteer remains with each child until they are placed in a safe, permanent and nurturing home.

The April 11 fundraiser will be an evening of fine dining, wine, dancing to the music of Court ‘n’ Disaster, and fabulous live and silent auctions.

Cost is $125 per person. CASA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency. All proceeds from the event will be used to expand CASA services.

RSVP by April 6. Call 565-6375.
