Library adds online language learning

On Oct. 1, the Sonoma County Library adds Mango Languages, a major language learning service, to its online electronic resources for Library patrons. This language-learning tool is free for all library card-holders and can be accessed anywhere with an Internet connection.

Through Mango, library users are offered the opportunity to learn 60 foreign languages and 17 English courses taught in the userís native tongue.

The service is available at the library, through the library website, and for mobile devices with apps for iPhone, Android, Kindle and Nook. For more information about the Libraryís databases and electronic services, visit sonomalibrary.org.

Mango is made available through the generous financial support of the Sonoma Valley Friends of the Library (www.svfol.org), Wine County Weekend, and Les and Judy Vadasz of Sonoma. The Sonoma Valley Regional Library is located at 755 West Napa St., Sonoma.
