Local toy drives for Christmas

Make a child’s wishes come true by participating in one of the many toy drives in Sonoma Valley.

The RE/MAX Leading Edge office in Oakmont is collecting gifts for the Valley of the Moon Children’s Home, which serves neglected and abused children. A wish list of gifts for the children is available – just call the RE/MAX Leading Edge office at 537-6727, or stop by 6576 Oakmont Dr., Ste. B. The RE/MAX staff will even pick up your donation upon request.

The Toys for Tots program, sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, is going strong in Sonoma County and Sonoma Valley. There are many locations to drop off new, unwrapped toys for less fortunate children. In Kenwood, these spots include the Kenwood Fire Department, Kenwood School, VJB Cellars, and Sunce Winery tasting room. In Glen Ellen, drop-off locations include Marshall’s Body Shop, the Glen Ellen Village Market, Glen Ellen Fire Department, and Dunbar School. For a complete list of Toys for Tots drop off locations, go to www.toysfortots.org.
