KFA scholarships available for Kenwood students

The Kenwood Firefighter’s Association (KFA) is now taking applicants for its educational scholarships.

The KFA awards various amounts of monetary scholarships annually. Applicants must reside within the Kenwood Fire Protection District, and must be entering or attending a state college, university, community college, or accredited trade school. Applicants must have a cumulative average GPA of no less than 2.50 through high school or college.

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on a variety of factors, including but not limited to community involvement, scholastic achievement, leadership qualities, and youth activities. Upon review of the application package, applicants will be interviewed by the selection committee.

Applications are available at the Kenwood Fire District office, at kenwoodfire.com or by calling 833-2042. Completed applications are due April 30.
