Feedback sought over Glen Ellen “Triangle” issues
County officials are seeking input from the community regarding traffic and parking problems involving a small piece of county-owned property on Arnold Drive across from the Glen Ellen Fire Department. Speeding issues on Arnold Drive will also be on the agenda at a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 6:30-8 p.m. in the Glen Ellen Fire Station’s meeting room.
Neighbors have objected to the increased use of the triangle-shaped property by county vehicles, county contractors, and unrelated private contractors.
Neighbors have seen a significant increase in truck traffic and parking of all kinds, resulting in early morning noise, dust, blocked driveways, dangerous maneuvering of vehicles in small spaces, and trucks parked right in front of a school bus shelter that sits on the property.
At the May 11 meeting, there will be representatives from the Department of Transportation and Public Works, Sonoma County Sheriff, Permit and Resource Management Department, and California Highway Patrol.
