Kenwood Inn & Spa Changes hands
Kenwood Inn & Spa is under new ownership.
The 29-room Kenwood Inn & Spa in Kenwood has been sold, and will now be managed by Four Sisters Inns.
The new owners are an investment group listed as HAGD Partners, LLC.
The Tuscan-style inn has been owned by Kenwood Holdings, LLC, since 2006 and managed by Seattle-based Columbia Hospitality.
The hotel started as a small bed and breakfast in 1989 under the ownership of Terry and Roseanne Grimm. The Grimms eventually turned the inn from four rooms to 12, and then eventually to 29 rooms.
The Kenwood Inn & Spa has previously received a number of Readers' Choice awards from Conde Nast Traveler magazine and was named as one of the top small resorts on the U.S. mainland.
Four Sisters Inns runs a collection of 16 boutique inns and hotels in California, including local facilities such as the Gaige House in Glen Ellen, the Healdsburg Inn, and the Inn at Sonoma. Statewide, Four Sisters owns hotels in areas such as Newport Beach, Napa, Santa Cruz, Carmel By The Sea, Santa Monica, and San Diego.

Tour Wildwood NurseryWildwood Nursery in Kenwood is offering a Second Saturdays program: afternoons of educational programs and special pricing every second Saturday of the month (except for August). The next one, set for April 8, will feature a tour of the mini-gardens and plantings at the nursery.
Beginning at 2 p.m., stroll through the garden design which dates back to the McLaren/McCrory Farm. Joseph Monte will discuss companion plants for native oaks and Mediterranean trees and point out examples of natives and non-natives which co-exist and complement each other in the landscape. It is anticipated that the mature tree peonies planted on the property will be in bloom. The blossoms often measure six to eight inches across.
