Hike Johnson Ridge Trail

Hood Mountain Regional Park - Pythian Entrance

Saturday October 20th 2012 - 9:45am to

Join “Bill & Dave Hikes” to hike the Johnson Ridge Trail at Hood Mountain Regional Park. Meet at 9:45 a.m. for a prompt 10 a.m. departure. Plans are to hike from just north of Hwy. 12 up to the Hood Mountain Trail, cross over to the Hood Mountain summit, and enjoy Gunsight Rock for a late lunch and return. This is a very strenuous hike of 11 miles with an elevation gain of 2,400 feet and will last approximately six hours. Plan to wear layered clothing and sturdy hiking shoes. Bring a lunch and plenty of liquids and remember we hike rain or shine.

Directions: Turn north off of Highway 12 at Pythian Road. Angle left onto Rancho Los Guilicos Road and park at the first parking lot on the right.

“Bill & Dave Hikes” (excluding the Yosemite and San Francisco road trips) are sponsored by Sonoma County Regional Parks, Team Sugarloaf, and the Valley of the Moon Natural History Association.
