Learn about becoming a docent at Bouverie Preserve

Bouverie Audubon Preserve

Saturday May 16th 2015 - 9:45am to

Audubon Canyon Ranch’s Bouverie Preserve in Glen Ellen is seeking new volunteers for its award-winning docent training program. Bouverie docents share their love of nature with third and fourth graders in the classroom and on the trail.

On May 16, prospective volunteers are invited to join a walk with an experienced docent and learn more about the program. Arrive at the Bouverie Preserve gate between 9:45 and 10:30 a.m. Drive to the top of the hill, park and walk down to Gilman Hall (the big barn). The day will start at 10:30 a.m. in the hall with a brief orientation slide show and video, followed by a short hike around the Preserve with a docent, at which time you can ask questions about the education programs and field trip walking requirements. The hike will end no later than 12:30 p.m.

The 23-week Docent Training Program begins Sept. 2. RSVP to volunteer@egret.org.
