Guided nature walks at Bouverie Preserve


Bouverie Audubon Preserve

Bouverie Preserve in Glen Ellen is offering four guided nature walks this spring at the Glen Ellen nature preserve.

Bouverie Preserve’s half-day guided nature walks pair visitors with a trained volunteer to explore the mixed evergreen forest, flower-carpeted oak woodland and rugged chaparral. Guided nature walks begin at 9:30 a.m. sharp, end at 1:30 p.m., and range from two to five miles.

Date for the walks, all Saturdays, are Feb. 4, March 4, April 29 and May 13.

Visitors of all ages are welcome. Fees are $20 nonmember, $15 member. Free for children under 18 (minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian). Fees support the preservation, education and conservation science programs of Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR), which owns the Bouverie Preserve as well as Martin Griffin Preserve on Bolinas Lagoon in Marin County, Cypress Grove and the Tomales Bay Preserves, and the Modini Mayacamas Preserves, ACR’s newest location in Sonoma County.
