Rotary Club of Glen Ellen Kenwood meeting
Wednesday May 2nd 2018 -
Rotary clubs throughout Sonoma County have been active in helping fire victims, and aiding in fundraising efforts.
The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood is no exception. Thanks to many generous donors, the club was able to raise close to $75,000 to date for fire relief efforts.
So far, funds have been used to help rebuild Dunbar School’s stage area and garden, for Bouverie Preserve to help with trail rebuilding, the Sonoma Ecology Center for watershed protection and restoration of Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, Sonoma Overnight Support to assist with the increase in the needs of the homeless due to the fires, and more.
The Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood is made up of local men and women who want to give back to the community, abiding by Rotary’s motto, “Service above Self.”
If you want to make an impact, check out one of the club’s meetings. The club meets the first and third Wednesday of the month, 5:30-7 p.m. at the historic Kenwood Depot in Kenwood. Many in the club are probably your neighbors!
