Glen Ellen Forum meeting

The next meeting of the Glen Ellen Forum is Monday, Aug. 5, 7 p.m., at the Jack London Lodge restaurant space. The forum is a grassroots community organization created to provide a voice for the people of Glen Ellen and encourage residents to participate and give input on important issues. All are welcome to attend its monthly meetings, the first Monday of every month.

The forum works on a number of issues, including traffic and safety, commerce and tourism, the future of the grounds of the Sonoma Developmental Center, improvement projects and more.

On Aug. 5, in addition to hearing updates from forum committees, downtown Glen Ellen property owner Marty Winter will discuss his plans for a mixed-use development project at 13651 and 13675 Arnold Dr. and 950 and 987 Carquinez Ave. The parcels are owned by Winter and his Glen Ellen Properties, LLC. The property is now made up of two single-family homes, commercial space and three apartments.
