Docent info session at Bouverie Preserve

Bouverie Audubon Preserve

Saturday August 3rd 2019 - 10:30am to

The Bouverie Preserve in Glen Ellen, part of Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR), is offering docent training starting in September. Over the course of 17 Wednesdays, docents will receive coursework in the natural history of Northern Californiaís diverse ecosystems, as well as training in the dynamics of working with children in these natural settings. ACR partners with U.C. Extensionís California Naturalist program.

If you are interested in learning more, go to an orientation program on Aug. 3 or Aug. 14, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Bouverie.

The orientation begins with a brief overview of the training program and ends with an hour-long hike on the trail. Seasoned Bouverie Preserve docents will lead the hikes and be available to answer questions.

Bouverie Preserve is located at 13935 Sonoma Hwy. in Glen Ellen.

Registration is required. Go to egret.org/volunteer_educate.
