Robert Ferguson Observatory

The Robert Ferguson Observatory in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park welcomes the public for both solar and nighttime observing, and a special night focused on Saturn.

On Aug. 24, solar observing runs 11 a.m.-3 p.m., and is free. $10 parking fee applies.

Nighttime observing starts at 8 p.m. Cost is $5 for 18 and older, those under 18 are free. Parking fee applies. Starting at dusk, the observatory’s three main telescopes will be open for viewing. Docents set up additional telescopes in front of the building and will be available to answer your questions.
