Shindig celebrates Sugarloaf 50th anniversary

A limited number of tickets are still available for the Shindig at Sugarloaf on Sept. 29. This is a special adventure to a hidden gem, the Thacher Family Ranch, not normally open to the public. Starting with a scenic and historic walk to Sugarloaf’s southern neighbor, enjoy waterside cocktails and an evening BBQ high in the Mayacamas surrounded by vineyards and serenaded by local musicians.

Event begins at 3:30 p.m. with a guided one-mile hike, cocktail hour begins at 4:45 p.m, featuring Sugarloaf “Bald Fashions.” At 6 p.m., dinner and a special presentation will begin, focusing on the black bears that have moved into the Mayacamas mountains and been seen in the park, followed by a post-dinner hike back to the park, arriving at 7:30 p.m. Flashlights will be provided. Non-hiker shuttle available. Cost is $250 per person; limited to 30 people.
