Trees and plant communities walk


Sugarloaf State Park

Saturday September 28th 2019 - 9:30am to

Join California naturalists John Lynch and Bob Long on a guided nature hike to explore Sugarloaf's trees and plant communities, with a special focus on oaks and redwoods. Lynch and Long will discuss why oaks are considered a keystone species at Sugarloaf and the role of redwoods in plant diversity.

Meet at the Visitors Center.The walk is approximately two miles with a 450-foot elevation gain. Parking fees apply.
