Oakmont Sunday Symposium

Sunday September 22nd 2019 - 10:30am to

The Oakmont Sunday Symposium returns for its 2019/2020 season of lectures this month, all to be held in the Berger Center, 10:30 a.m.-noon. A $3 donation is requested at each lecture, or you can get a season pass for $50. The Sunday lectures last through May.

Sept. 22 – “Climate, Water and Fire – Yup, They’re all Connected”

Water. We can’t live without it. But where does it come from? And how do we know there is enough for all of us? How do we know it’s safe to drink? What about wastewater? Do the fires ever contaminate our water? Senior environmental specialist Anne Crealock and Dale Roberts, engineer with the Sonoma County Water Agency, will talk about thoughtful and ingenious stewardship of this resource.

Sept. 29 – “Back Pains – A Little Workout Can Help”

Sooner or later, everyone has to deal with back pain. Back pain specialist Dot Spaet will be on hand to show ways to mitigate back pain. Her techniques have an amazing 91 percent success rate in helping folks eliminate their back pains and keep them from coming back. Spaet is known for solving back pain problems that other people cannot solve.

This will be an interactive session where you can try simple exercises that you can do on your own.

All Oakmont residents and their friends are welcome.
