Free ukulele lessons for kids

Glen Ellen Community Church

Sunday October 20th 2019 - to

The Glen Ellen Community Church still has openings for elementary- and middle school-aged children (six to 12 years old) who would like to learn to play the ukulele. The lessons will take place during the Sunday Morning Kids’ Jams at the church, located on the corner of O’Donnell Lane and Henno Road in Glen Ellen (5311 O’Donnell Lane). No experience or ukuleles required. Lessons are free and loaner ukuleles are provided during each class session.

Taught by Roberto “Bob” Ramon Alvarez, the classes will be held for eight weeks Sunday, Oct. 20, through Sunday, Dec. 8, 10-11 a.m. In addition to learning chords, strumming and simple tunes, the children will learn to play Christmas carols on the ukuleles during this first eight-week session.

For more information or to enroll your child, call Glen Ellen Church Youth Director Sandy Zimmermann at 321-2680.
