Observatory director at Cal Club

The Cal Alumni Club Dinner on Jan. 15 will feature Chris Cable, director of Valley of the Moon Observatory Association, which operates the Robert Ferguson Observatory at Sugarloaf State Park.

Cable will discuss the observatory’s growth and development of services, outreach and resources to better serve North Bay residents.

Cocktails start at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. The menu will be a three-course meal – beef stew, creamy polenta and seasonal vegetables, and raspberry cheesecake. The price of the dinner is $40 and includes cocktails before dinner, tax, and gratuity.

All alumni are welcome and non-alumni please consider becoming a “Friend of Cal” and enjoying all the club’s dinners and events.

Reservations and prepayment must be made in advance and are due by Sunday, Jan. 12, to Linda Williams at 322-6272. She will instruct you on payment and the mailing address to send your check. Unfortunately, members/guests sending checks without a call to Linda for the reservation count will be turned away.
