Saturday May 22nd 2010 -
Sonoma Developmental Center is the auto aficionado’s place to be on May 22. The Center will host the Sonoma Valley Footrace and Festival that includes a car show that promises classics and hot rods.
The 4th Annual Sonoma Valley Footrace and Festival begins at 8 a.m. with 5k and 10k footraces on the Sonoma Developmental Center campus, followed by a festival that includes a car show, carnival games, live music, food vendors, and beer and wine tasting. Vehicles from individual enthusiasts and several clubs including Antique Auto Club of Santa Rosa, Antique Chevy Club of Santa Rosa, Sonoma Hot Rodders, and Boys Under the Hood of Vallejo, will be on display throughout the Festival in front of the brick “main building” visible from Arnold Drive.
Festival entry is free, and fans can vote for their favorite car to win a “People’s Choice Award” trophy. The Sonoma Valley Footrace and Festival is a fundraiser for the SDC Performing Arts Company, which provides meaningful live theater experiences for the individuals who live at Sonoma Developmental Center.
