Bouverie volunteer training

Bouverie Audubon Preserve

Wednesday June 15th 2011 - to

Audubon Canyon Ranch is seeking volunteers for its Elementary School Environmental Education Program at the Bouverie Preserve.

An information meeting is scheduled for June 15 to introduce prospective volunteers to the 23-week docent training program.

Each year, trained Bouverie docents guide thousands of third-and fourth-grade elementary school students in small groups and share their knowledge about the natural world including birds, trees, wildflowers, amphibians and animals.

Bouverie Preserve Docent Training starts Sept. 7 and is held every Wednesday (holidays excluded) through Feb. 22, 2012. The cost of the docent training courses is $135 to cover training materials. Scholarships are available.

More information can be found at www.egret.org, 938-4554, or bouverie@egret.org.
